Hooray, I have just finished the artwork for all of the inside of the book. It's a strange stage of the process of making a picture book; you know that this will be your last chance to make any changes and so endless hours are spent checking things and touching up colours. The moment when you can say: 'That's it,' and put the artwork aside is quite a let go as well as being quite a relief.

Here is one of the finished pieces from the start of the book showing Nat the Cat making bread for the breakfast she will be sharing with her friends Hugo Hare and Billy Goat.

All that's left to do now is the cover; my sketch for it has been accepted by my publisher so painting that will be the full completion of the book.
